At Salesians of Don Bosco Ng Siu Mui Secondary School, we strongly believe in the home-school relationship's importance. Young people are more likely to sustain high aspirations and plan to further education and build a career. Parents also benefit from being involved in their children's education by getting ideas from school on how to help and support their children and learn more about the school's academic program and how it works. Perhaps most importantly, parents benefit by becoming more confident about the value of their school involvement.

For this reason, it has been essential that we find new ways to connect and communicate with the parents in the age of COVID restrictions. An unexpected upside of the pandemic has been discovering new ways to communicate with the parents. Therefore, special arrangements were made for Parent's Day this year. SDBNSM took necessary precautions, and the parents were allocated particular timeslots to meet the teachers. We are delighted that so many parents joined us for our Parents' Day. To better understand the parents' problems during the home learning, Principal Mr Li and Assistant Principals made themselves available. Apart from meeting teachers, the parents were also individually invited to meet Assistant Principal Ms Chan and English Panel Head Ms Ko to discuss the Support Programs for the students. Active collaboration between the parents and the teachers made this Parents’ Day a success.
